Console players experience the same Ethan story, the same yellow sphere Verity, and the same three-day house survival loop as PC — only the inputs change. Specter Development’s official console bindings mirror common Roblox horror conventions: L3 to run, face button to interact.

This guide covers Xbox and PlayStation layouts, stick techniques for interactables, and audio setup when headphones are recommended (use a controller jack, console USB headset, or TV headphones if needed).

Running with L3

L3 pitfalls

Accidental L3 clicks while moving slowly can trigger run at bad times — noisy floor cues or story triggers. Practice in the Day 1 walkthrough hallway until run feels deliberate.

Stick drift can cause unwanted movement; fix hardware issues before Day 3 finale timing.

Interacting with B (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation)

Interact is the most important button in Verity [HORROR]:

• Open the mysterious box at the front door
• Secure locks and environmental objects
• Speak with Verity during prompts
• Advance walkthrough story nodes

Console interact fails more often than PC when:

• Camera angle is too low or too high
• You stand at the edge of a prompt radius
• You mash B/Circle before the UI appears

Fix: stop moving, nudge right stick to center the prompt, then press once.

Controller camera tips

Right-stick sensitivity determines how fast you can find rear-window prompts during perimeter rituals. Increase sensitivity if 180° turns feel sluggish when Verity listens behind you; decrease if you overshoot small interact meshes in the kitchen or garage.

Audio on console
